Everything in Nida works from the keyboard. Below are the shortcuts for the test and the results, then a full chart of the Khmer NiDA layout.

03khmer on NiDA
- Turn on NiDA in the toolbar to type Khmer on any QWERTY keyboard, with no Khmer keyboard installed. The keys match the chart below.
- Subscript consonants: press J (the coeng, ្), then the consonant. For example K J R types ក្រ.
- Alt Gr (⌥ on Mac) opens a third NiDA layer with rare signs and symbols. None of the practice words need it.
